Ely Chapter Field Trip

FULTON RANDOLPH MARKET HISTORIC DISTRICT

Thursday, August 14 at 5 pm

The Fulton – Randolph Market Historic District enjoys great proximity to Chicago and good transportation links. It’s no surprise that this neighborhood has become one of the hottest in the city for real estate developers, including commitments from tech firms like Google. Unfortunately the potential is imminent for displacement of old-line businesses and historically significant structures that have existed for decades.

The city of Chicago Department of planning and development has outlined a process for the designation of the Fulton – Randolph market historic district as a Chicago landmark district.

Eleanor Gorski, Assistant Commissioner and Director of Historic Preservation, will lead a tour and discussion of the recommended landmark district.

Join us for an informal and informative tour on Thursday, August 14 at 5 PM. Our hosts will be FitzGerald Associates located at 912 West Lake Street.
